My goal is to become a college business professor. Looking for recommendations for a DBA/PhD hybrid/online program!

    Desired Qualifications

Cost: Less Than $80k Total Tuition

    Accreditation: AACSB

Residency: My location is Oregon near Portland, so programs that meet for 1 - 3 weeks are preferable to 10 weekends a year

Reputation: School and faculty are known for quality research and teaching, produce well qualified candidates who can become college business professors

There are many AACSB accredited DBA programs. However, most of them usually cost well above $80K.

There are three non-traditional PhD in Business programs (hybrid model) and two DBA program that might meet your criteria around 80K (total tuition, excluding lodging, travel, etc...) that are AACSB accredited.

      Non-traditional PhD in Business
University of North Carolina at Greensboro (majority of the program is online with very low residency)
      Indiana University of Pennsylvania
      Florida Atlantic University

      DBA
      Marshall University
      Florida international University

The following two AACSB accredited DBA programs are slightly above 80K mark for tuition:
      University of Rhode Island (`$83k)
      University of North Alabama (~$84K)

      I hope that this helps.

    Dear Sir,

    Hybrid programs
I don't know of a hybrid Phd/DBA program and I don't know how a serious program should work like that. A PhD is a fundamental education in Knowledge Creation, targeting Master graduates with am ambition to become a professor at a university and to publish.

A DBA is targetting business people and executives who want to qualify in applied research, often times using their own company's data fopr their dissertation / doctoral thesis, with the goal to teach occasionally but to remain in business.

Pleaese have a look at our articles on PhD and DBA differences.

    AACSB
You can find DBA programs from a AACSB-accredited institution on our accreditation page.

    Reputation
Please have a look at our How to find quality DBA programs article.

Information on structure (e.g., 10 weekends) and tuition fees have to be collected by visiting the websites of the DBA institutions. To facilitate your life, I recommend you to use the search filters at https://www.dba-compass.com - e.g., Country and Teaching Mode.

    Best wishes,
    Thomas
