    Hi all,

here comes a tricky question: Does obtaining a DBA from MSM allow Germans to hold a "Dr." in their passport?

Given the following quote from MSM program website I am not sure:
"Note: The DBA degree is not an equivalent to a Dutch doctoral or PhD degree in terms of the Dutch law on Higher Education and Research (WHW)."
Source: https://www.msm.nl (Anmerkung der DBA Compass Redaktion: Der ursprünglich vom Autor angegebene MSM-Link funktioniert nicht mehr, deshalb haben wir ihn auf www.msm.nl geändert).

Do you have any info on this?

    Thanks + Best
    Patrick

    Hi there,

at the end of the day, the respective ministers Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Federal States in Germany will have to clarify this. You can try to contact and ask them before you start your studies. Alternatively, you can try to receive an answer from the The Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Please post it here if you receive new information.

    Best regards,
    Thomas

Just received the info that DBA from Maastricht School of Management is not acknowledged in Germany, as the institution itself is not acknowledged as University in the Netherlands and the DBA program is not registered in the Netherlands as well.

    So Germans: beware.
