Why did you choose Miami Herbert?

I chose Miami Herbert because it combines academic rigor with real-world impact. As an R1, triple-crown–accredited business school with world-recognized scholars publishing in top-tier A journals, Miami Herbert offers the scholarly excellence I was seeking. I’m also inspired by the Moonshot strategic plan and the school’s bold vision to become a top-20 business school. As a proud alumna, the University of Miami is the foundation of who I am as a scholar and businesswoman—its school spirit, alumni network, and culture of ambition made returning home to Miami Herbert an easy decision, and I have not been disappointed. My doctoral journey continues to affirm I made the best decision.

What has been your biggest accomplishment at MHBS?

One of my biggest accomplishments at Miami Herbert has been being selected as one of 28 members of the inaugural Executive Doctorate of Business Administration cohort and helping to shape the program's foundation and culture. As part of the first class, I’ve had the opportunity to engage closely with faculty and peers across disciplines while developing a strong foundation for applied, impactful research.

As a branding and marketing professional, I’m especially proud to represent Miami Herbert through storytelling and brand visibility efforts, including participating in this new Miami Herbert brand photoshoot, helping authentically showcase the diverse, accomplished leaders within the school. It’s been incredibly rewarding to contribute to a community that is building the foundation for future cohorts while advancing applied, impactful research.

Fun facts about you?

• I’ve built my career at the intersection of tech, data, and storytelling.
• I’m known for saying yes to big goals before I feel ready (my ‘do it scared’ era).
• Soon to be a Double Cane — earned my BBA (Computer Information Systems and Finance) from Miami Herbert and now back for my Doctorate of Business Administration (Class of ’28)
• In my undergrad years at UM, I doubled majored in Computer Information Systems and Finance with a Minor of Business Law and completed it all in 4years while taking 18 credits and working a part time internship at a major technology company in a different county (Broward).
• Started my career in computer information systems before pivoting into marketing after a major career upset— so I speak both “tech” and “brand
• First work with data and built databases… now I build brands.
• I turned a career upset (An organizational restructure where my position was eliminated) into a 10+ year business in a new career in marketing
• I see the world in funnels, campaigns, and color palettes
• I'm notorious for jumping on last-minute crusises, sometimes even booking them the day of, I love the spontaneity of it all and the advantage of living near two ports.
